Scott B. Garner, partner at Umberg Zipser LLP and recent Chair of the State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, will discuss the application of the attorney-client privilege and duty of confidentiality to specific and sometimes complex scenarios, including where the privilege and the duty of confidentiality may differ in important ways.  It also will discuss a recent California State Bar ethics opinion discussing the duty to maintain in confidence even some publicly available information about current and former clients.
The presentation will include a catered lunch.
