The Orange County Women Lawyers Association (OCWLA) proudly supports and endorses qualified candidates for judicial office. Through our Judicial Endorsement Program, we aim to elevate candidates who exemplify integrity, judicial temperament, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Endorsement Evaluation Committee

The OCWLA Endorsement Evaluation Committee is responsible for reviewing and evaluating candidates seeking endorsement. This committee is committed to identifying applicants who reflect the diverse communities of Orange County and the State of California—including diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, background, and professional experience.

The Committee fulfills this mission by:

1. Encouraging women attorneys and allies to seek judicial appointments.
2. Evaluating the qualifications, experience, and judicial temperament of applicants.

Endorsement Policy

• OCWLA welcomes applications from individuals seeking appointment to judicial offices.
• OCWLA does not issue competitive endorsements. Any qualified applicant may receive OCWLA’s endorsement, meaning multiple endorsements may be granted for a single seat or position.
• Candidates are assessed based on merit, commitment to justice, and support for OCWLA’s mission to advance women in the legal profession.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must submit a completed application form to be considered for OCWLA’s endorsement.

• Once your application is received, a member of the OCWLA Endorsement Committee will contact you to arrange an interview. 

Please allow a minimum of 90 days for the full evaluation and endorsement process.
