DEPUTY DIRECTOR: ROLE SUMMARY
The Opportunity:
The Deputy Director will hold a key leadership role within CWLC and collaborate with local, state, and federal partners to achieve advocacy goals and work to secure a more just and equitable society. In partnership with the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will drive the strategy to advance CWLC’s mission to break down barriers and grow the potential of women and girls through transformative litigation, policy advocacy, and education.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate for Deputy Director must have a J.D. with a minimum of 7 years of litigation experience and a minimum of 5 years of management experience of attorneys and staff. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to to issues affecting women and families, civil liberties, public interest work, and the mission of CWLC; and a broad knowledge of constitutional, civil rights, and human rights law, including those relating to gender discrimination, Title IX, violence against women, pay equity and economic security, and women’s health.
Salary range:
The target salary range for this role is $160 - $195K. The role is based in Los Angeles, CA.
