Opportunity: Lecturer of Practice Foundations: Transactions, Spring 2018

Chapman University seeks applications for a Part-Time Lecturer of Practice Foundations: Transactions for the Spring 2018 semester. Successful candidates will teach one 3-unit section of the required 2L course, Practice Foundations: Transactions. Practice Foundations: Transactions is a small-section course that introduces students to the practice of transactional law by exploring the role of lawyers in executing business-related transactions. Students acquire a foundation for practice through participation in exercises and simulated transactions. Students also practice communicating with and advising clients, drafting documents, dealing with other attorneys, and handling the intricacies of transactions.

The Dale E. Fowler School of Law offers a JD and LLM degrees, as well as JD/MBA with Argyros Business School and JD/MFA with the Dodge School. The Law School currently has 450 JD law students who attend classes in a modern 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art Kennedy Hall. Qualifications
JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and a successful background in transactional practice.
