Applications are now open to serve on State Bar committees.
We seek nonlawyer public members, lawyers, and current and former judicial officers interested in serving on a State Bar committee. Nonlawyer public members receive a small paid stipend for their time. Apply online by Monday, May 1, 2023.
Volunteers who are selected will play an essential role in guiding the work of the State Bar in its efforts in support of its core mission of protecting the public through the licensing, regulation and discipline of attorneys and by working to increase the diversity of the legal profession and increase access to legal services.
In support of our continuing efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession and throughout the work of the State Bar, this recruitment is intended to ensure a broad and diverse pool of applicants.

Working in partnership with homeless services, other community service providers, and the project funder, the Staff Attorney will provide holistic legal services to tackle barriers to our clients becoming and staying housed and related barriers that impact family stability. This focus on providing housing stability and related legal services to vulnerable families fits perfectly with the question that ICLC asks for all of our clients: “What is the pathway to long-term stable housing?”
