Ms. Duron is the author of “Raising My Rainbow: Adventures in Raising A Fabulous, Gender Creative Son,” the first parenting memoir to chronicle the journey of raising a gender nonconforming child. Her work as a blogger, advocate, and author has earned her awards ranging from Parents Magazine’s blogs “Most Likely to Change the World,” PFLAGs’ Flag Bearer Award, the American Library Association’s Stonewall Award, and “Top 25 SoCal moms,” among others. Ms. Duron, a former journalist will take the audience on her unique parenting journey raising a son who is a girl at heart, and provide thoughts and guidance for parents and adults interacting with children of all gender types. The Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University seeks applications for a Part-Time Lecturer of Practice Foundations- Transactions starting August 2017. Successful candidates will teach one 3 unit section of the required 200 level course, Practice Foundations – Transactions, under the supervision of a full time faculty member. Practice Foundations are small section courses that emphasize writing and practice skills. Students work on simulated problems and transactions that lawyers might encounter in practice and receive feedback on their work throughout the semester.
