IRVINE, CA, NOVEMBER 2, 2016 --- Keller/Anderle LLP, a nationally recognized high stakes, bet-the-company trial law and business litigation firm based in Irvine, has been selected to the U.S. News - Best Lawyers®' 2017 “Best Law Firms” list. The firm is one of the few on the list that is a Women's Business Enterprise certified firm (100% women-owned). Keller/Anderle LLP received a “Tier 1 Ranking” for Criminal Defense: General Practice and Criminal Defense: White-Collar, which, according to U.S. News - Best Lawyers®, “reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism and their integrity.” The Tier 1 Ranking is an honor generally reserved for much larger law firms, which is a testament to Keller/Anderle’s performance and reputation. About the firm: Keller/Anderle LLP is among the premier boutique litigation forms in California, with a record second to none, and local, statewide and national recognition of the firm’s success. The firm handles high-stakes litigation of all types including commercial, intellectual property, securities, bad faith, class actions, white collar criminal defense, and entertainment/sports. Keller/Anderle LLP attorneys have won over $925 million in judgments in just the last eight years, and successfully defended many other clients. Jennifer Keller and Kay Anderle have over 250 jury trials between them. Unique among law firms handling high profile, bet-the-company cases of such a caliber is that both name partners are women, and the firm is women-owned.
On November 1, 2016, the Orange County Bar Association and Thurgood Marshall Bar Association will present a very important program entitled Fair Housing Laws and Policies: The Historical Seeds of Segregation and How They Continue to Impact Us Today. This program presents a rare opportunity to hear from the nation’s leading experts on critically important issues that impact us all. Richard Rothstein has worked as an education policy analyst and written a number of books on the interplay between race and class in education policy. One of his recent works, The Making of Ferguson, received critical coverage by The Washington Post, The New York Times and other publications. He was also featured on NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross. As I am sure you know, Erwin Chemerinsky is a leading constitutional scholar and the Founding Dean of the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, and needs no introduction. This program will include a historical review of the causes of segregation, the inequality that persists today as a result of the historical seeds of segregation in residential housing, why and how segregation in residential housing still affects us today in all facets of society and what we can do to address these issues.
