Summary: The Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions seeks public comment on proposed revisions and additions to the Judicial Council of California Civil Jury Instructions (CACI). Under California Rules of Court, rule 10.58, the advisory committee is responsible for regularly reviewing case law and statutes affecting jury instructions and making recommendations to the Judicial Council for updating, revising, and adding topics to the council’s civil jury instructions. On approval by the Judicial Council, all changes will be published in the 2025 edition of the official LexisNexis Matthew Bender CACI publication.

JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in its Irvine office. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of complex litigation experience and experience as first chair in five or more jury trials. Experience in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity litigation, and construction matters is beneficial, but not required. This dynamic role is able to sit in either the Irvine or Los Angeles office and offers an opportunity to work in Kutak Rock’s expanding litigation practice and collegial and collaborative environment.

· Ability to handle all aspects of complex civil litigation matters, including client communications, motions, discovery response, court appearances, and negotiating settlements
· Proficient in taking and defending depositions as well as drafting disposition motions

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
· Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school in the United States is required
· Currently admitted to practice in California with an active bar license in good standing required
· 8+ years of experience in complex civil litigation with first chair experience in 5+ jury trials

Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000 base, commensurate with experience

DEPUTY DIRECTOR: ROLE SUMMARY The Opportunity: The Deputy Director will hold a key leadership role within CWLC and collaborate with local, state, and federal partners to achieve advocacy goals and work to secure a more just and equitable society. In partnership with the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will drive the strategy to advance CWLC’s mission to break down barriers and grow the potential of women and girls through transformative litigation, policy advocacy, and education. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate for Deputy Director must have a J.D. with a minimum of 7 years of litigation experience and a minimum of 5 years of management experience of attorneys and staff. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to to issues affecting women and families, civil liberties, public interest work, and the mission of CWLC; and a broad knowledge of constitutional, civil rights, and human rights law, including those relating to gender discrimination, Title IX, violence against women, pay equity and economic security, and women’s health. Salary range: The target salary range for this role is $160 - $195K. The role is based in Los Angeles, CA.

examinations used to enforce judgments concerning consumer debts. To implement AB 1119 in small claims cases, the Civil and Small Claims Advisory Committee proposes adopting two
mandatory Small Claims forms and revising four forms. The committee also proposes revisions to the general civil judgment form to reflect the new law. Another proposal revising Judicial
Council Enforcement of Judgment forms to implement AB 1119 has already circulated for public comment.
